ALTERNATIVE AND SKILL EDUCATION

“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to Think” – Albert Einstein Education plays a key role in the social and economic development of every country. Still there are certain areas in India, where literacy rate is still low. The Ceyone Empowering Society programs are built to help increase literacy rates in India, while ensuring that every child obtains a holistic education. TCES aims to promote skill development as it is this that enables the socio-economic mobility of workers, while also facilitating professional/educational progression.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT & CHILD DEVELOPMENT

TCES seeks to provide vocational training and skill-development opportunities to women from all walks of life, while securing avenues for women where they get to showcase their newly acquired skills. The two activities when carried out together ensure a source of income for not only the women but for those who are dependent on them too. The aim of these activities, however, is not purely financial in nature. TCES’s women empowerment programs also seek to inculcate and build a solid foundation in order to nurture the inner strength, creativity, and self-esteem of women. This enables them to venture out into the world, prepared to handle any challenge thrown at them, with confidence. To bring change in the area of health and Nutrition of children, TCES has adopted innovative steps which include organizing “Good Parenting” Camps/“Healthy Baby” Shows at Anganwadi Centres and specific orientation of ICDS & health staff on micronutrient malnutrition among children.

HEALTH, NUTRITION & SANITIZATION

Access to healthcare, Nutrition and Sanitization is the broader goal of our health intervention. Our model works primarily by complementing the fantastic healthcare network set up by the Government. TCES’s aim is to ensure widespread knowledge on preventive and curative health care– through medical camps, sanitation and hygiene management, maternal and child health initiatives and infrastructure upgrades. Effective public-private partnerships and facilitating Government schemes help us keep our community healthy, wealthy, and wise.

RENEWABLE & SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

TCES works to facilitate India’s transition to a cleaner energy future by aiding the design and implementation of policies that promote clean power, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, climate policy and clean energy finance. Sustained economic growth places an increased demand on energy resources, energy systems and infrastructure. TCES supports several efforts to mainstream renewable energy, such as wind and solar, in the overall energy mix of the country. TCES focuses on strengthening policies and regulations that promote renewable energy, developing a flexible electricity grid that is capable of handling high penetration of renewable energy, mobilizing finance for renewable energy projects and assisting state-level agencies to deploy large-scale renewable energy.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

“Live the Zero Waste Life……” TCES reduces waste and consumption, manages solid and electronic waste and advocates around materials, waste and consumption. We arrange trainings that are either hands-on, or to help understand and use the law. We train individuals, communities, and institutions to reduce consumption and waste, segregate, recycle and compost. We train officials and institutions to help learn about waste and e-waste so they are empowered to take good decisions. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME - CSR

In 2013, the CSR Act came into being and making it mandatory for the corporates to conduct CSR activities. A common thread of purpose unites us all as a cohesive and progressive civilisation. The flip side of this coin is that no developmental agenda can be effective without addressing the basic common goals of the society. We perceive community development not only as a paramount societal goal but also as a solemn responsibility. This conviction drives us to implement a variety of interventions that take many shapes and hues depending on the myriad needs of our diverse society. Our engagement in this domain covers a large spectrum, ranging from providing access to safe drinking water and healthcare, transforming early-age education at the grassroots level, enhancing livelihood opportunities, empowering women, especially in rural communities, and addressing other niche requirements of the society. All these efforts converge to yield a tangible rise in the welfare of communities, of which we ourselves are an inseparable part.
